Request deletion of your Gospify account and all associated data
We process every request within 7 days
📬 How to Request Deletion
Email us with the subject line “Delete my Gospify account” from the same email address you used to sign in. Include:
- The email address you used to sign in
- Which platform: iOS / macOS (iCloud-based) or Android (Supabase-based)
- Optional: a note on why — we read every one and use them to improve the app
We will confirm your identity, delete your account within 7 days, and send you a confirmation email. If you do not hear back within 48 hours, please check your spam folder and resend.

If you used the Android app (package com.gospify.android) and signed in, your data is stored in our Supabase backend. On deletion we remove:
- Your authentication record — email address, hashed password, user ID
- Your profile — display name, avatar letter, bio
- Your full synced progress — lessons completed, Manna (XP), streak, Mites, quests, achievements, reading plans, memory verses, cosmetics, settings, journal reflections
- Your entire Lumen AI chat history — every message you sent and every Lumen reply, across all conversations
- Your daily AI credit ledger
Row-level security in our database means only you (or our backend acting on an explicit deletion request from you) can touch these rows. No one else — not even other Gospify users — can ever see your data.
🍎 iOS / macOS Users — What Gets Deleted
If you only used the iOS or macOS app and never signed in via the Android Supabase flow, your data never left your device and your iCloud account. There is nothing on our servers to delete. However, on request we can confirm that in writing.
To wipe the local data on your device:
- iOS / iPadOS: Settings → General → iPhone Storage → Gospify → Delete App
- macOS: drag the Gospify app to the Trash; then clear ~/Library/Containers/com.gospify.Gospify if you want to wipe app-group data too
- iCloud copy: Settings → your Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Gospify → Delete Data
🗄️ What Is Retained, and for How Long
- Nothing personally identifying is kept.
- Aggregate usage counts (e.g. “X lessons were completed across all users in March”) are derived from logs and retained in a non-personal form. These cannot be traced back to you.
- Backups: Our Supabase Postgres backend (hosted in EU Central, Frankfurt) retains encrypted database backups for 7 days. After 7 days the backup copies are purged, completing the deletion.
🤖 About Anthropic (AI Provider)
When you chatted with Lumen, the text of your messages was forwarded through our Supabase Edge Function to Anthropic, Inc. (the company behind the Claude AI model) for response generation.
Per Anthropic's published policies, API traffic is not used to train their models and is retained only for a short abuse-detection window. We do not control Anthropic's retention; their privacy policy is at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
If you want Anthropic to delete records on their side too, contact them directly — we cannot do that on your behalf.
🔑 What Happens to the App After Deletion
The next time you open the Android app after we have deleted your account:
- Your Supabase session will fail to refresh because the account no longer exists
- You will be signed out and returned to the signed-out state
- Your local device progress (stored in Room) will still be there until you uninstall or clear app data
To wipe the local copy too:
- Uninstall Gospify from the Play Store page, or
- Settings → Apps → Gospify → Storage → Clear data
✂️ Partial Deletion
We do not currently support partial deletion (for example, “delete my journal but keep my streak”). If you need something more granular, mention it in your email and we will honor the request on a case-by-case basis while we build an in-app option.
